A letter from our founders

Every Expat in Korea is an online community for foreigners and foreign families in Korea. As founders (and parents) of this community, we are also pretty savvy with web development, SEO, social media marketing and publishing. As our community frequently asks us about international schools and parenting in Korea, we have chosen to use our promotional knowhow to build this site to give expat parents the best resources to make some of the most important decisions in the lives of their children.

In 2019, the Chief Marketing Officer of Facebook HQ in the US sought to promote the community-oriented values of the social media company. The objective was to choose a handful of Facebook Groups around the world that are innovative and effective examples of Facebook community development, send an Emmy-caliber TV commercial production team from a top ad agency to Korea, develop a commercial and broadcast it on American and European TV channels during the Christmas season of that year. FB reached out to us and the Every Expat in Korea community was eventually one of the few chosen among the 70 million active Facebook Groups to be showcased as one of Facebook's best usage case studies. And the rest is history.
